This album has been described either as a total disappointment, or as the new, umptenth masterpiece of the DI6 Entertainment, Inc.Truth lies in the middle, as usual. As this LP adds nothing to what Doug and friends have already said in the last 15 years, it's surely a dignitous release, which help us forget a bit about the shame that was "All Pigs Must Die". The music is nice, relaxing, and so are Boyd Rice's spoken vocals. The "industrial" experiments here are enjoyable even if predictable.A pity that the cover artwork is so poor (the photo on the back cover would fit for a Halloween party, but not for a Death In June album, sorry guys) and that no lyrics are included on the innersleeve.Maybe this "Alarm Agents" should be regarded as a side-project, in the vein of Scorpion Wind (to which similarities are strong), and not as the follow-up of the piggy album. Will Death In June ever rise from its ashes and release a new milestone? Personally, I think that the best times are over and won't come back. Let's enjoy the backcatalogue!

Alarm Agents its more of a filosophical statement than a complete musical offering. The contribution from DIJ its clear, youll find the characteristic guitar accompaniement from Mr Douglas Pearce and the all time filosophic provocateur Mr Boyd Rice doing his work. If youre aware of their ideology and their mental direction youll find it amazing lyrically. Music in here has no other intention than to be the background of a poetic/filosophic recital which i do personally consider pretty good. they are frank, direct and pretty akin to their spiritual tour de force. It lacks the strongness of other works and would be totally unapealing for the "noise-ists" that wouldnt find much of a Boyd rice influence in here except for the "are you out there?" minimalistic experience,"deeper than love" Lavey's short droned speech, the creepy "the man who laughs" and the final recommendation from uncle Boyd for all of us in " Boyd's gift". This is not a continuation of "All pigs must die" or "wolf pack" reunion this is a clear "last call" for all that can still want to listen. Whenever you hear DIJ albums you can feel that they are talking about something inminent its about to happen, something powerful and atonishing and their all time strong spirit ready to face that moment...well theres no more expectation in here, in this work all which was inminent its happening, its already around you and sometimes through the work you may feel how the spirit its almost destroyed, weakened, impaired and then again emerges complete, renewed with determination. This is minimalist work at its best with a strong lyrical component. This goes way beyond music, again, this a declaration, perhaps a "final statement".

There are some pretty strong esoteric undercurrents in the songs on this album, almost like they are trying to build up or reprogram the listeners psyche or brain... I also pick up on some hermeticism. What could the track "are you out there" be about? maybe im just reading too much into it! Any response would be appreciated.
